10th Biennial Berry Health Benefits Symposium

It has been twenty years since the first, groundbreaking symposium was held. Since then, the number of scientific studies done on berries, and the knowledge about the benefits they offer to improve human health, has skyrocketed, becoming one of the hottest health topics for consumers. New avenues of cutting-edge berry science continue to be opened and the 2025 BHBS will feature scientists from across the globe reporting on their latest research and the newest health benefits offered through berry consumption.
Our Host Hotel
The 10th Biennial Symposium will take place at the Hilton Philadelphia at Penn’s Landing. Steps from waterfront activities on the Delaware River, the hotel is a mile from Liberty Bell, the convention center, Reading Terminal, and the Museum of the American Revolution. The hotel is also adjacent to Spruce Street Harbor Park and walking distance to shops and galleries in Old City.
Schedule
The 2025 symposium will take place on Tuesday, October 7th and Wednesday, October 8th. We will also offer an optional regional berry tour on Thursday, October 9th.
A full schedule will be announced in the coming months. BHBS has consistently offered a first look at the newest research into how berries in the diet affect everything from cardiovascular to gut health. The tenth Berry Health Benefits symposium will offer a chance to get out ahead of the crowd by presenting the latest research specific to berries impact on gut health and the connections to other systems in the body.
Junior Investigators
The 2025 Berry Health Benefits Symposium is pleased to offer Junior Investigators two ways to share their latest research findings relating to the symposium themes of berry biochemical composition, cardiovascular health, metabolism regulation, gut health, brain aging, skin health and other health properties of berry fruit. Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows may submit abstracts for review and consideration for poster presentations and oral presentations.

Symposium tickets are inclusive of all sessions on Tuesday, October 7th and Wednesday, October 8th. Refreshments and lunch are included for both days. The regional berry tour is offered as an optional “add-on” for symposium registrants or as a separate ticket for guests. Refund / Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests must be made in writing to bhbs@foodfirstmarketing.com. Cancellation / refund requests submitted by September 19th, 2025 are eligible to receive a 100% refund of their registration fees minus a $50 administrative fee. Requests made after September 19th, 2025 are eligible for a 50% refund of their registration fees until October 6th, 2025 after which no refunds will be issued.
